Heritage institute of medical sciences Varanasi organised a live Surgical conference on management of advance buccal mucosa malignancy on occasion of World Head Neck cancer week on 19th July for PGs and Students.
The live surgery helped students to get knowledge about basic treatment protocols , surgical considerations and insight of diagnosis.
This conference was successfully conducted by Dr Abhishek Das OIC and Consultant Oncologist at Heritage Ims
Dr V K Mehta (Principal) and Dr Avtar Singh (Medical Superintendent), Hod General Surgery - Dr Saurabh Agarwal, Dr Sanjay Prasad, Dr Dhiraj Khitani were present in making the workshop a success.
Dr Aseem Mishra -Professor Head Neck Surgical Oncology from Mpmmcc Varanasi and Dr Gautam Prakash Associate Professor Plastic Surgery IMS BHU were chief surgeons who executed the Surgical procedure and helped students clear doubts.
Dr Anamika Agnihotri Assistant Professor Anesthesia Mpmmcc Varanasi was the chief anesthetist who taught pgs of anesthesia fibre optic laryngospy demonstration.
Dr Sudhendu Shekhar Consultant Octavia Hospital discussed with students Perioperative considerations in management of advance buccal mucosa malignancy.

Dr. Abhishek Das, Officer-in-Charge and Consultant Oncologist at Heritage IMS, spearheaded the successful organization of the conference. The leadership team, including Dr. V K Mehta (Principal) and Dr. Avtar Singh (Medical Superintendent), alongside Dr. Saurabh Agarwal, Dr. Sanjay Prasad, and Dr. Dhiraj Khitani from the Department of General Surgery, played pivotal roles in ensuring its success.
